Section 8 Rent Subsidy
The Section 8 Rental Assistance Program is federally subsidized housing for existing rental housing that permits qualified families to obtain rental housing at a rent that they can afford. Grand County Housing Authority administers the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program in Grand, Jackson, Gilpin, and Routt counties.
Notice
We are pleased to announce that the Section 8 Waiting List for Gilpin, Grand and Routt Counties is now open. You may apply on September 1st either in person at our office located at 308 Byers Avenue, Hot Sulphur Springs, Colorado or you may complete and submit the fill-able application that will be posted on our website.
We are also providing notice that the waiting list for Summit and Clear Creek counties will open on October 20th.
Preference is provided to the following households
Families that are experiencing homelessness
Families that include a person with a disability
Families that include victims of domestic violence
Non Elderly Disabled families transitioning from nursing homes and other approved institutional settings into independent, community-based living.
Applications continue to be accepted for for Jackson County.
