Grand County Broadband Initiative

The Broadband middle mile deficit explained in plain English. Grand
Counties first obstacle in supplying Internet providers and wholesalers
access to affordable and scalable Internet services begins with fixing the
local “middle mile” Broadband supply point
. Middle Mile problem explained
in plain English

Does telecommunications support public policy? Can local government
nurture an environment where people want to live, work and play without a
modern and ubiquitous  telecommunications network infrastructure that is
connected to a fair-priced and plentiful broadband system?

21st  century demands on telecommunications have already challenged the
19th-20th century telecommunications infrastructure in most rural
communities. What is the path out of the “waiting, waiting, waiting… for the
franchise owners to fix the problem strategy?”
How can public policy
support telecommunications in the 21st century?

The last mile, how do you affordably connect households and businesses
to Broad Band services in mountain communities? The engineers at
Sky-Werx have been doing exactly that. Wireless connectivity is the
solution for remotely located communities to distribute Broad Band
services to their constituents.
Short term and long term solution to
the Last Mile dilemma
