VIN checks (Vehicle Identification Number)
Inspections are done by the Department of Motor Vehicle located at the Grand County Courthouse. Please provide your current title registration, or other document listing the VIN number. DMV can be contacted at 970-725-3347 if you have any questions regarding what is needed.

If the vehicle cannot be brought to the Courthouse, you may contact the Sheriff's Department at 970-725-3343. The call will be placed to dispatch to arrange a time for an officer to meet you at the vehicle for the inspection.

  
 
   

On July 27, 2011, law enforcement officers from local, state and Federal agencies participated on the 2011 Grand
County Interagency Law Enforcement Shoot. The top three shooters in each event, Shotgun, rifle and pistol were
presented with their awards. The Best Team award went to the Grand County Sheriff’s Office and the best overall
performance was awarded to Colorado Division of Wildlife Officer Sean Shepherd. Pictured above from left to right;

SNOWMOBILE PATROL

The Grand County Sheriff deputies actively participates in
doing snowmobile patrols within Grand County during the Winter Months.
