The Grand County Board of Equalization (BOE) is seeking experienced local appraisers who are interested in serving as referees for the BOE to assist in hearing and rendering opinions on real and personal property tax appeals. Referees consider evidence presented by both the property owner petitioner and the assessor’s office and render their professional opinion for consideration by the BOE.
To be considered as a candidate, the applicant must be a licensed appraiser with experience working for an assessor’s office, the board of equalization or other administrative tax appeal board. The applicant must also be available to serve as a referee around the weeks of September 7 and 14, 2020 (excluding Labor Day).
