SHERIFF SCHROETLIN TO ATTEND STATE OF THE UNION
GRAND COUNTY, CO- Sheriff Brett Schroetlin and current President of the Western States Sheriffs’ Association, is honored to accept the invitation by Congressman Andy Biggs from Arizona’s 5th District as his guest to President Biden’s State of the Union address on Tuesday, February 7th. This prestigious event will take place in the Chamber of the United States House of Representatives to the 118th United States Congress in Washington, D.C.
The mission of the Western States Sheriffs’ Association was established in 1993 and represents the 17 western states. The WSSA mission is to assist Sheriffs and their offices with federal and state legislative issues, strengthen the relationship with our federal land management agencies, address policy and procedural matters, develop guidelines to promote uniformity in matters that are important to Sheriffs of the western United States and to work together to keep the office of the Sheriff strong.
Sheriff Brett Schroetlin stated, “It is an honor to attend a historic event such as this in our nation’s capital. It is imperative that we as elected Sheriffs work collectively and collaboratively with our local, state and federal partners to keep our communities and country safe in these ever-challenging times.”
